Hello, and thank you for visiting ONIGIRIS.NET. My name is Ryo, the founder of this site. My passion for Japanese food runs deep, having been born and raised in Japan, where I was surrounded by the rich and delicious flavors of traditional Japanese cuisine.
Recently, onigiri—the Japanese rice ball—has been gaining popularity, with many media outlets, bloggers, and YouTubers showcasing this beloved snack in Japan.
I founded ONIGIRIS.NET to share the rich culture of onigiri with the world. My hope is that through this site, everyone can discover the unique charm of onigiri and find their own favorite flavors.
My journey in the food industry began at Yamachan Ramen, a noodle manufacturer in California, where I gained extensive experience and expertise. I have a deep understanding of Japanese ingredients and a strong connection to Japanese shops and restaurants.
Currently, I reside in San Antonio, Texas, where I am actively involved in helping Japanese businesses enhance their digital marketing strategies through JU Marketing.

As an Ambassador
ONIGIRIS.NET’s goal is to serve as a goodwill ambassador for onigiri restaurant and shops, and introduce a wide range of delicious onigiris. We would like to support the slogan “More of that taste of Japan” promoted by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and JETRO from the standpoint of using ingredients.

ONIGIRIS.NET is operated by Seki Water System LLC located in San Antonio, Texas. The company was established in 2018 by Ryotaro Seki (Ryo), a founder, and provides marketing solutions as JU Marketing mainly for Japanese companies. Ryo has experienced food businesses in the ramen noodle manufacturer since 2013 and has well knowledge of Japanese food products.
